How to Connect
Claude (web, desktop and mobile)
Add ClearSpent once on claude.ai and it appears in the Claude desktop and mobile apps too.
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector, name it ClearSpent and paste this URL.
- Sign in to ClearSpent when asked, then choose Allow. Leave “Allow logging transactions” off for read-only access.

ChatGPT
ChatGPT connects custom servers through developer mode; which plans offer it can change.
- In Settings, open Apps & Connectors, then Advanced settings, and turn on developer mode.
- Choose Create, name it ClearSpent, paste this URL and set authentication to OAuth.
- Sign in to ClearSpent when asked, then choose Allow. Leave “Allow logging transactions” off for read-only access.

Claude Code uses a personal token instead of signing in.
- In ClearSpent, open Settings › AI connections and create a personal token. It is shown once, so copy it.
- Run this in your terminal with your token in place of <your-token>.

- Nothing is saved when an AI app logs a transaction. You approve or reject it inside ClearSpent, and a request you ignore expires after 15 minutes.
- Changed your mind? Undo an approved transaction within 24 hours.
- Disconnect any app or token at any time in Settings › AI connections; it loses access on its next request.
